The United Way of Central Oklahoma opted to cover their large building windows for several reasons. Although, the major concerns included security, light and heat diffusion, and aesthetic qualities. The appearance of the metal panels added an interesting aesthetic quality to the neutral-colored brick building. The security was an added benefit. The installation of colored lighting directly below the window panels further enhanced them. The panels' hole patterns can shine a variety of colors, giving the building a unique nighttime attribute. The metal panels were anodized for consistent appearance and corrosion protection.
