A: You will enjoy a more customized shopping experience by setting up an account. As a registered user, you can view your inquiry status and order history, create and save to project lists, and manage your account information. You will also be the first to know about new features as we add them to our site in the future.
A: To set up an account, simply click "Log In" on the header menu at the top of each page. If you or your company is already registered as a customer with McNICHOLS, you can get started using the account number and zip code associated with your account.
A: For optimal use of mcnichols.com, we strongly suggest Google Chrome. Other supported browsers include Internet Explorer version 10 or higher, Firefox, and Safari.
A: After logging in, click the welcome salutation (located at the top of the page near the shopping cart icon), and select "Profile" from the dropdown menu or "My Account" page. From there you can update your name, email, password, security questions, phone number, and industry information.
A: You can compare up to four products at once in some product lines. The Compare Items feature highlights similarities and differences between items in an easy-to-use format to assist you with your Hole Product selections.
A: All orders placed with McNICHOLS will display on the Order History page along with relevant information. Invoices are viewable in PDF format once they become available. Custom (non-stock) orders will not display on our site. However, we are happy to supply you with information related to any orders placed with McNICHOLS. Our Customer Support page highlights different ways we are available to assist you.
A: Quote requests will appear once they have been converted to an order.
A: Yes, you may do so using our "Project List" feature. This allows you to create lists containing specific products which you can name and save for later use. To utilize this feature, please log in and click the welcome salutation (located at the top of the page near the shopping cart icon), then select "Project List"; from the dropdown menu or on the "My Account" page.
ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT & STORED INFORMATION
A: Yes, and please note that changing a contact email address also changes the User Login ID. To change your email address, please log in and click the welcome salutation (located at the top of the page near the shopping cart icon), then select "Profile" from the dropdown menu or at the top of the "My Account" page. You may enter your new email address on this page.
A: Yes, however, if you change the email address associated with your McNICHOLS web account via phone or email, you will still need to manually change the email address associated with your online profile. We are happy to assist you with this process.
A: Yes! Customers who have a valid tax-exempt form on file with McNICHOLS will be tax exempt when using their online account.
A: You can apply for credit by downloading the Credit Application form or a McNICHOLS associate would be happy to help. Our Customer Support page highlights different ways we are available to assist you.
A: Customers may have an unlimited number of administrators on each account. You make that determination and can change administrator information at any time.
A: Customers may have an unlimited number of shoppers on their account.
A: An administrator has the ability to:
- Make account address updates
- Add or edit shopper profiles and create additional administrators
- Import users via the supplied template
- Deactivate a user's account
A: An account administrator can deactivate another administrator or a shopper's account, and as a result that user's email address will be deactivated. However, the deactivated user can use a different email address to reregister as a shopper on your account. In this case, the account administrator(s) will be notified via email when a user self-registers.
A: To reset your password, please follow these steps:
- Click Log In.
- Select the "Forgot your password?" link on the McNICHOLS Account Login or Registration page.
- Enter your email address.
- Answer your password security question.
- Click submit to receive an email with a link to change your password.
