The United States Army searched for a Specialty Metal product to use for design as well as utility within their trade show display booths. The new United States Army trade show display booth included over 67 framed infill panels of McNICHOLS® Perforated Metal to meet that need.
The primary visual impact was strength and high-tech aesthetics. Many companies that exhibit in trade shows require specific standards for their booths. The booths should be functional and modular systems. They should be able to cover large areas and hold weight. Additionally, they should be tall and easy to ship. Lastly, they should be able to display large panoramic graphics.
The Perforated steel panels provide lightweight components that are more economical to ship than solid steel panels but won't lose structural strength. This was an important factor too as freight and handling fees are the largest line items in a trade show budget.
Our Fabrication Services Team was able to provide a unique custom solution. A press brake formed eight of the 67 panels into either a U or L shape before framing. The perforated Metal panels were also powder coated to add an extra aesthetic element to the overall appeal and enhance the panel’s corrosion-resistant properties, therefore, increasing longevity.
