Fiberglass Grating Deck Adds Durability to Outdoor Clubhouse

The beautiful, durable decking around the Muirfield Village Golf Clubhouse in Dublin will outlast the building according to the architect. The corrosion-resistant Fiberglass Grating deck rises over a scenic body of water, meanders around trees and foliage, then wraps around the clubhouse. The previous wood deck for the clubhouse posed maintenance issues and safety risks related to dampness, slippery surface, and abuse from pounding of golf shoe spikes. The architect chose McNICHOLS® Pultruded Fiberglass Grating for its ADA spacing, grit surface, good looks, low maintenance, and long-lasting attributes. The coarse gritted surface would allow for the proper coefficient of friction for optimal traction-control.
