Splice Connector are designed for alignment of handrail sections and as expansion joints. They are more effective as a joint stiffener when used within 12 inches of a welded post. Multi Splice Locking Connectors have similar shear strength as standard pipe but are NOT for use in posts. Multi Splice Locking Connectors contact the inside diameter of the pipe in four areas along full length to ensure alignment and maximum strength. Double Multi Splice Locking Connectors have two screws which cause pinning action in both pieces for additional strength over single screw connector.
