McNICHOLS® Decking & Flooring - Metal Flooring

McNICHOLS TRACTION TREAD^™ Metal Flooring, primarily available in Aluminum and Carbon Steel, has the strength and durability to withstand heavy traffic loads. A surface of aggressive, raised perforated buttons facilitate drainage and provides excellent traction for pedestrian footing. Multiple patterns are available, including a Stainless Steel Chevron pattern design.

Overview

McNICHOLS carries a wide selection of Decking and Flooring products with safe, slip-resistant surface properties for walkways, platforms, and other pedestrian travel applications. We carry five main Decking and Flooring product families: Extruded Interlocking Flooring, Overlapping Decking, Interlocking Plank Flooring, Fiberglass Flooring and Metal Flooring. McNICHOLS stocks Aluminum, Fiberglass, Carbon Steel, and Stainless Steel materials, and we carry the DIAMONDBACK®, TRACTION TREAD™, and SAFPLATE® Flooring brand names. Decking types in inventory include SAFDECK®and SAFPLANK®.

The following selections are important considerations to help you choose the right McNICHOLS® Decking & Flooring product for your project or application. Please specify:

Application

Consider Decking and Flooring applications/uses and physical requirements for your interior or exterior application. Loading, span, and support needs as well as traffic requirements such as pedestrian or hand cart, etc. are important considerations. All of our Decking and Flooring products comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) when installed to written standards. Construction Type

Choose from our inventory of Overlapping Decking, Extruded Interlocking Flooring, Interlocking Plank Flooring, Fiberglass Flooring, and Metal Flooring construction types.

Series Type & Name

Specify the Decking or Flooring series type and name for your project. This includes the construction type and trade name of the product (e.g. TRACTION TREAD™ Metal Flooring). All items comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standard and have this language indicated in each item's description and specifications.

Primary Material / Product Finish

Select the primary material type including Aluminum, Carbon Steel, Fiberglass, or Stainless Steel. Metal inventory is typically “mill finish” unless otherwise specified. We provide more information on Primary Material Types and Product Finishes in the links provided in the Overview section on the Decking & Flooring Resources landing page.

Resin & Type

If you are selecting a product with Fiberglass as the primary material, choose the resin and type for your application (SPF Polyester Resin). We provide more information on resins, types, and descriptions in the link provided in the Charts section on the Decking & Flooring Resources landing page.

Color

If your product selection is a Fiberglass Decking or Flooring item, choose the preferred color for your application.

Gauge / Thickness

Choose the material gauge number or thickness in inches for your Decking or Flooring product selection. Extruded products do not have an actual gauge due to the manufacturing process. These items are specified as an Extrusion.

Surface Profile / Product Height

Choose a surface profile for your application. A surface profile includes the type of surface (e.g. Solid, Vented, etc.) or the type of opening (e.g. Button-Top, etc.) and the width of the product measured in inches (e.g. Solid (24" Width), Button-Top (36" Width), etc.). Additionally, some items also require a product height selection.
