Standard Length Tolerances
Unless otherwise specified, the standard length tolerance is +1/4 /- 0 inches. Material specified with exact, even-foot measurements from 7 inches through 14 inches are shipped at the lengths specified +1/4 /- 0 inches. Lengths specified by the number of diamonds (see table below) are shipped at the length shown in the table +1/4 /- 0 inches. Lengths for full diamonds plus 1/2 diamond are equal to the length for full diamonds plus 9/16 inch with a tolerance of +1/4 /- 0 inches.
