McNICHOLS® Quality Plain Steel Stair Treads - Bar Grating Products

McNICHOLS® Bar Grating Stair Treads can meet almost any load bearing or weight requirement and is the most durable tread for rugged applications. Bar style treads are also a top choice for strength, safety, and long-term cost savings.

This tread style consists of a series of bearing bars joined at various intervals to perpendicular cross bars to form a load-bearing tread. Stock treads are generally welded and bearing bars are rectangular in shape. I- and T-bar shaped (bearing bar) treads can be fabricated from grating panels that are locked by swaging, or press-locked, with a quick turn around. Typical treads have bearing bars that are spaced 1-3/16 inches (center to center) with perpendicular cross bars spaced 4 inches apart (center to center). Other spacings are available to meet your loading and open area requirements.

Welded Bar Grating Treads are available from stock in 3 bar heights, 5 widths and 3 popular tread lengths in galvanized or plain steel with a variety of nosing options. Treads are also available with a smooth or slip resistant serrated bearing bar surface.
