Grating products constructed with a series of pultruded fiberglass load bearing bars attached together in a specified pattern by fiberglass cross bars.

Open Area

The open area is the open space between the bars. The open area varies according to the T-Bar series type.

· MS T-1800 Series has 18% open area.
· MS T-1000 Series has 10% open area.

Open Space

The open space is the clear spacing between the bearing bars. The open space varies according to the T-Bar series type.

· MS T-1800 Series has an open space of 0.375 inches
· MS T-1000 Series has an open space of 0.175 inches

Resin Type

T-Bar Fiberglass Grating is stocked in a polyester resin. All of the available resins are listed below.

· MSPFR Polyester (in stock) for basic economical applications. (Most cost effective).
· MSVFR Vinyl ester (special order) for food processing facilities and common applications.
· Phenolic (special order) for extreme thermal conditions (up to 1700 degrees F).

Color

The standard colors for T-Bar Pultruded Fiberglass Grating are yellow and gray. Other colors are available upon special request.

Height

The height is the top to bottom measurement of the panel. The height varies according to the T-Bar series type.

· MS T-1800 Series available in 1 or 1–1/2 inch height
· MS T-1000 Series available in 1 inch height

Bar Width

The bar width is the measurement of the top of the bearing bar. The bar width varies according to the T-Bar series type.

· MS T-1800 Series has a bar width of 1.625 inch
· MS T-1000 Series has a bar width of 1.625 inch

Surface

The surface is the top area of the panel. The surface is available with a plain surface or with grit. The gritted surface is available in three grits:

· Fine/Pool - Suitable for bare feet.
· Regular - Suitable for most applications
· Extra Coarse - Suitable for oily or greasy environments

Bearing Bar Spacing

The bearing bar spacing is measured from the center of one bearing bar to the center of the next. The bearing bar spacing varies according to the T-Bar series type.

· MS T-1800 Series has a 2.00 inch bearing bar spacing.
· MS T-1000 Series has a 1.80 inch bearing bar spacing.

Cross Bar Spacing

The cross bar spacing is the distance between the cross bars. The cross bars are the fiberglass rods that hold the larger bearing bars together. The standard cross bar spacing is 6 inches. A 12 inch cross bar spacing is available by special order.

Width

The standard panel width is 3, 4, or 5 feet. Panels can also be cut-to-size.

Length or Span

The standard panel length is 8, 10, 12, or 20 feet. The length is the direction that the grating should span. Panels can also be cut-to-size.

Quantity is the number of full panels or pieces you will need. McNICHOLS will quote you on the exact quantity you specify and inform you if minimum quantities apply.
