DURADEK® Pultruded Fiberglass Gratings are corrosion resistant, slip resistant and typically stocked in a fire retardant polyester resin. The I-bar shaped configuration with 6 inch cross bar spacing is the most popular and provides maximum flexibility in design. We offer three series choices of bearing bar spacings – 1 inch (MS I-4000), 1.50 inch (MS I-6000) and 1.71 inch (MS I-6515 with 8 inch cross bars). This measurement is the center to center of the bar spacing between each bearing bar. Grating panels are available from stock in bar heights of 1 or 1-1/2 inch, in a variety of colors, resins and spacings. Other sizes are available by special order.

The open space is the clear spacing between the top of the bearing bars. The open space varies according to the I-Bar series type.
· MS I-3000 Series has an open space of 0.25 inches
· MS I-4000 Series has an open space of 0.40 inches
· MS I-6000 Series has an open space of 0.90 inches
· MS I-6515 High Strength has an open space of 1.11 inches
The height is the top to bottom measurement of the bar. The standard heights for I-Bar Fiberglass Gratings are 1 or 1-1/2 inches. The MS I-4000 Series and the GFG Series offer a height of 1-1/4 inches in addition to the standard heights.
The bar width is the measurement of the top of the bearing bar. The bar width varies according to the I-Bar series type.
· MS I-3000 Series has a bar width of 0.60 inches.
· MS I-4000 Series has a bar width of 0.60 inches.
· MS I-6000 Series has a bar width of 0.60 inches.
· MS I-6515 High Strength has a bar width of 0.60 inches.
The bearing bar spacing is measured from the center of one bearing bar to the center of the next. The bearing bar spacing varies according to the I-Bar series type.
· MS I-3000 Series has a 0.85 inch bearing bar spacing.
· MS I-4000 Series has a 1 inch bearing bar spacing.
· MS I-6000 Series has a 1.5 inch bearing bar spacing.
· MS I-6515 High Strength has a 1.71 inch bearing bar spacing.
The cross bar spacing is the distance between the cross bars. The cross bars are the fiberglass rods that hold the bearing bars together. The standard cross bar spacing is 6 inches. The MS I-6515 High Strength has a cross bar spacing of 8 inches. A 12 inch cross bar spacing is available by special order.
The standard panel length is 8, 10, 12, or 20 feet. The length is the direction that the grating should span. Panels can also be cut-to-size. The MS I-6515 High Strength has a width of 20 feet.
Quantity is the number of full panels or pieces you will need. McNICHOLS will quote you on the exact quantity you specify and inform you if minimum quantities apply.
