Product Information
Close Mesh Bar Grating is formed by a pressure locked process where the cross bars and rectangular bearing bars are forced together using tremendous hydraulic pressure. The result is a flush top, durable grating that provides excellent lateral support and a small open space between the bearing bars. Swaged gratings with narrow openings are also available.
Close Mesh Series
McNICHOLS’® Close Mesh products are divided into five series: GCM-1, GCM-2, GCM-3, GCM-4, GCM-5. Each series has specific bearing and cross bar spacing, bearing bar sizes, weights, load characteristics, fastener requirements, etc. Links to Close Mesh series information are provided below:

Note: The GCM Series is not suitable for barefoot pedestrian or wheel traffic. Field Cutting also not recommended. Gratings with narrow openings are also available with a Swaged construction.
